Usually, you open files to import or export text. Always use<code> close file <\/code>when you\u2019re finished. <br>\n<br>\nIf you try to close an unopened file,<code> the result <\/code>gets<code> File not open.<\/code>  <br><br>\n\n HyperCard automatically closes all open files when <br><br>\n\n \u2022 it runs an<code> exit to HyperCard <\/code>    statement,  \u2022 the user presses Command-.
